This is a free FACE TO FACE training session delivered by iCaSH Outreach Training for all practitioners promoting sexual health in Norfolk.
Aim
A short overview of working with people with learning disabilities around sexual health promotion and education
Outcomes
- Explain that people with learning disabilities have the same sexual needs as everyone else.
- Explain the difficulties to overcome in communicating sexual health issues
- State ways to communicate effectively with people with a learning disability around sexual health.
- Describe consent and capacity and it’s role in terms of sexual health.
- State resources and services we can access to aid and support us in promoting peoples sexual health.
