About this Event

Join the Society and Recreation department of the North York Central Library for the first ever Learning Circle: Parenting a Child with Extra Support Needs, a monthly gathering designed to provide a supportive, safe, and welcoming space for parents or caregivers raising children with extra support needs. Meetings will include open discussions as well as guest speakers, including professionals and advocates, to provide valuable insights on relevant topics.

Whether you’re seeking support, advice, or simply a space to share, we welcome you to join us. Together we can navigate the challenges and celebrate the joys of parenting a child with a disability.

Note: For the fifth session (Nov 15th, 2025 at 2 pm), Nev Atwal, a Registered Social Worker whose expertise lies in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), from the Geneva Centre for Autism, will be our guest speaker.

Thursdays and Saturdays (Room 2/3- North York Central Library). Monthly Dates and Guest Speakers will be announced as they become confirmed.

For Parents/Caregivers/Advocates. Adults only. Registration is encouraged via Eventbrite, but Drop-ins are welcome!

For more information, contact the 5th floor Society & Recreation information desk at 416-395-5660.
