You're invited to join us in Toronto to meet the world's number 1 art and design university!
About this Event

Studying at the Royal College of Art places you in London: a city internationally renowned for its creativity, culture and diversity - the perfect place to develop your creative career in. What do prospective students need to know about living and studying in the UK?

You’re invited to meet Dr Adam Kaasa (Senior Tutor of Contemporary Art Practice MA) in Toronto for an in-person conversation about studying at the RCA.

What to expect

Saturday 15 November 2025, 1-3pm

1pm - Guest arrivals and refreshments

1.30pm - About the RCA presentation and Q&A

2.30pm - Networking and opportunity to ask questions

3pm - End

We'd love you to join for all parts of the event but if you can only join for part of it, that's fine too.

Who is this event for
  • Those interested in postgraduate study at the Royal College of Art
  • Current RCA applicants and offer-holders
  • Friends and family are also welcome to join, though please ensure they have a ticket

You don't have to specialise in any discipline to attend this event: we welcome guests planning to apply to all subject areas.

Due to the postgraduate nature of RCA study, all attendees must be over 18.

How to join

The event is free to attend, but please note that places are limited. Pre-booking is essential to guarantee your spot.

I'm thinking of applying to the RCA - can I have an informal portfolio chat?

Yes! We're delighted you're thinking of starting your RCA journey. Please book a portfolio appointment during the registration process at our one-to-one event.

About the host

(Senior Tutor of )

Adam's work moves between urban theory, facilitation and performance. As an interdisciplinary scholar he specialises in the intersection of culture, history and inequality in the city.

Adam holds a PhD in Cities from the London School of Economics and worked for a decade at LSE Cities. He is the Co-Founder and former Director (2015–17) of Theatrum Mundi, an international urban research centre on the culture of cities. He was Visiting Professor at the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto (2016). Uncommon Building (Spirit Duplicator, 2017), Kaasa's most recent book, documents a collaborative exercise in speculative fiction as a methodology for thinking critically and across disciplines about space, site and the urban.
