Geopals is a new TCG inspired by geocaching and was created here in Perth, Western Australia.The game centres around unique creatures—Geopals—who each have special abilities that help them travel through different regions in search of powerful orbs.
But it’s not just a card game… During their “seasons” the Geopals Team hide rare cards around Australia on Sunday and share clues to help you find them—so you can join in the hunt and be a part of the Geopals community!
We here at The Nostalgia Box love local geeky things and when we came across Geopals we knew it is something our audience would love too. There are a lot of avid TCG players in our community so we are going to be hosting a “Learn To Play Day” on Sunday 18th January. Not only that but we have these special promo cards that were made just for The Nostalgia Box. People who are already playing Geopals will need to come get one, and those who are interested in starting out can start their collection. These special cards cannot be bought, only given when you visit The Nostalgia Box. We also will be selling the booster packs in store.
What to expect at the event:
🟡 Support of how to play Geopals will be provided by the Geopals staff
🟡 Decks will be provided by Geopals staff (SO YOU DO NOT NEED TO ALREADY HAVE ONE TO PARTICIPATE)
🟡 A tournament will be run by Geopals staff, supported by Nostalgia Box staff.
🟡 Prizes provided by GeoPals: $100 cash (1st Place), $50 cash (2nd and 3rd Place), Booster Decks, and custom cards
🟡 Prizes provided by Nostalgia Box: Loot boxes (1st, 2nd and 3rd), and vouchers for Nostalgia Box
