About this Event

Join Hudson-based knitter and fiber artist Lizz Hill Wiker for a beginner's knitting workshop. She will teach you everthing you need to know to make your own lightweight scarf, bandanna, or dish towel, and give you resources to continue learning.

During the class, students will learn the basics of knitting including casting on, the knit stitch, and binding off. Lizz aill also provide an overview of how to select yarns and needles, and will get you familiar with common knitting tools and reading patterns. No prior experience is required.

Included in the workshop fee is hands-on instruction, a booklet with your patterns and resources, along with a skein of Nobletown's medium-weight 2 -ply yarn, sourced and spun right here in Columbia County---- plus a set of knitting needles, which are yours to keep after the class.
