Shire 935 Events and are joining forces to produce an epic LGBTQ+ pride hoedown, A Lick & A Promise: Big Pride Hoedown 2026, this coming June in Hillsdale, NY; an action-packed celebration of community, diversity, and country-western flair! So far, the event will include a mechanical bull, partner & line-dancing lessons with & , drag performances by and the region’s newest creative collective . Also on tap will be Go-Go Ranch Dancers, queer country DJs, a big seated fire pit, a beer and wine saloon, and a delicious menu of options from in a fabulous rodeo setting upstate at Taconic Ridge Farm in Columbia County, NY.
100% of proceeds from the $5 mechanical bull rides will benefit the of Greene & Columbia Counties, working to connect queer and trans folks to while also hosting substance-free queer community events.

Please note that the food, beverages, and mechanical bull rides are not included in the event ticket price, but the dance lessons and entertainment are.
