Learn to Use Your Sewing Machine A Workshop with Kristina Coles
Spend a Saturday getting to know your sewing machine properly, patiently, and at your own pace.
This isn't a rushed taster session or a busy classroom. It's five unhurried hours with Kristina Coles, a textile designer and pattern cutter with over 25 years of experience in fashion, tailoring, and bespoke atelier work including seven years cutting patterns for a high-end studio and teaching at South Devon College and Norland College.
Whether you've never threaded a machine before, or you've owned one for years and never quite got the hang of it, you'll leave understanding your machine, confident in the basics, and with a finished piece you're proud of.
What you'll learn How to set up and thread your sewing machine confidently · Tension, stitches, and how to troubleshoot when things go wrong · Cutting, pinning, and sewing a simple project from start to finish · The small details that make handmade work look professional.

About your tutor Kristina holds a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design and has spent her career in fashion, tailoring, and textiles — from bespoke pattern cutting to teaching adults of all ages. She's warm, patient, and genuinely loves what she does. You're in very good hands.
Spaces are limited to keep the group small and the teaching personal.
