About this Event
Event Overview:
"This was the exact opposite of the fashion industry's 'you can't sit with us', energy! I loved the open-platform model, sharing everything... I really feel like I could set up a reuse textile centre in my region now, it was like a a full consultancy in one day!"
"I would recommend this to anyone interested in sustainable textiles or fashion, and I think this course should be mandatory for anyone working in the textile and fashion space."
"An inspiring day, spent with like-minded people. It made me want to be part of something bigger and expand what I know I can do now."
Are you passionate about sustainability, creativity, and community engagement? Do you want to reduce waste and promote a circular economy? This in-person all-day workshop is designed for social innovators, community leaders, and creative enthusiasts who want to make a positive impact through creative reuse.
The award-winning social venture Yodomo will share its experience of setting up creative reuse hubs in a bid to help grow the reuse movement by empowering more people around the world to set up their own. Yodomo won the 'Progress toward circularity' Marire Claire Sustainability award in 2023 for its work to grow the creative reuse movement.
"I can't wait to go back and start conversations with my local community on how we can do something similar. I would recommend this to anyone interested in sustainable textiles or fashion, and I think this course should be mandatory for anyone working in the textile and fashion space."
Jessica Hannan, fashion editor and retail consultant.
"A wealth of knowledge and experience in a warm and engaging way. It was very kind of her to open up and share her learnings and practice based-research with our group. I feel like she has encouraged us all to go out there and spread the word about reusing textiles to work towards a better circular economy."
