About this Event
Ever fancied a go at Linocut but didn't know where to start?
This fun and relaxed afternoon class is a introduction to linocut, so no experience necessary. You'll be taught through the whole process of making a leaf design, transferring it to to a lino block then carving the block with tools and printing it.
The finished print can be taken home, along with your lino block which can be re-used for more prints or greetings cards.
The summer workshop takes place outdoors, in a leafy little private garden which is shaded and sheltered. Refreshments are provided, there will be hot or cold drinks and biscuits/cake.

Organiser info:
I'm Claire from Usual Malarkey Prints and I will be running the class. I've been printing with lino and selling my work for 10 years now, online and in-person at various York events. Inspiration for my work come from nature, food, foraging and fun. The idea for this leafy linocut class came when I ran a nature- inspired lino session at a Thrive Outside event at Homestead Park (the photos above were from this event). Everyone loved crafting outside in nature!
