About this Event
As fewer funerals and weddings happen in our sanctuaries with congregations familiar with and comfortable in a Christian liturgy, our preaching and worship leadership needs to adapt. This three-session continuing education offering will look at changing expectations for weddings and funerals, identifying what we want our message and impact to be, and ways to deliver a sermon that accomplishes our goals in a new environment. Sessions will include introductory reflections and group discussions. Recommended resources will be provided for further exploration of these topics, as well.
This three-session workshop, taught by the Rev. Adam Trambley, will be offered via Zoom on Tuesday February 11, 18, and 25, from 2:00- 3:00 pm.
The cost of this workshop offsets the operating costs of the Stevenson School for Ministry. SSFM is dedicated to the lifelong learning and discernment processes of all Episcopalians in the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania and beyond. This workshop has a price tier option. Whether a complimentary ticket, $25, $50, or $100 fee fits your life - everyone will receive the same experience.
