About this Event

Intended for Professionals in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Science Industry and Military/Federal Employees.

Please join the Society of American Military Engineers Denver Metro Post as we host Sal Nodjomian, PE, CEO of Matrix Design Group, Retired United States Air Force Colonel as he discusses leadership throughout different parts of his military and post military career. In addition, he will share some tips, tricks, or trends that he has noticed along the way between leadership and/or management styles.

Speaker:

Sal is a registered Professional Engineer and leads efforts across a spectrum of client services, including program management, military mission analysis, strategic and master planning, economic analysis, public-private partnerships, and public process facilitation. He has a distinguished career leading diverse teams in operations; delivering community and public works services; producing engineering and economic analyses; and developing facility and infrastructure plans and programs. He has served as the Principal-in-Charge on numerous large, complex, multidiscipline programs, planning efforts, and projects. Sal is Chief Executive Officer of Matrix, leading the company in unparalleled growth and service expansion.

Prior to joining Matrix, Sal served in the United States Air Force for nearly 24 years, finishing his career as the Installation Commander for Eglin Air Force Base. Sal earned his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Delaware and went on to earn five master’s degrees, with extensive studies in public administration, engineering, organizational management, and national security strategy. He serves on the boards of several national organizations, including the Society of American Military Engineers Foundation and the Association of Defense Communities. He is a three-term Councilman for the City of Niceville, Florida, and serves as a mentor for the Niceville Youth Advisory Council.

Happy Hour Appetizers and Networking begin at 4:30 PM. The Program will begin at approximatley 5:00 PM with SAME Opening Remarks & Introductions followed by the featured presentation. The event will run until roughly 6:00 PM, with an opportunity for additional networking until around 6:30 PM.
