Leader Training for Powerful Tools for Caregivers

Powerful Tools for Caregivers | Dec 9 - Dec 13 from 1 to 4pm | Central Standard Time | Zoom

Leaders must attend full leader training of five 3-hour sessions and commit to leading two workshop series in your first year. This program requires two leaders to facilitate the program --- if your organization does not already have leaders trained in PTC, please train at least two leaders.

Caring for a family member or friend with a chronic condition can be physically, emotionally, and financially draining.

This evidence-based self-care education program builds caregivers' skills for taking better care of themselves as they provide care for others.

The six-week program helps to minimize the potentially negative impacts of caregiving. Powerful Tolls is appropriate for caregivers of both adults with chronic conditions and children with special needs. Research on the program consistently shows participants develop increased self-efficacy.

This five day leader training includes:

• Easy-to-implement, scripted curriculum
• Experiential, interactive training provided by a team of certified master trainers
• Practiced in group leadership and facilitation.
• A copy of "The Caregiver Help Book"
• Progam Trainer License ($200 value)

Training Participants will leave the class fully prepared to co-lead Powerful Tools for Caregiver classes in groups of up to 15 family caregivers.
