December Recovery Support Peer Specialist Supplemental

Part 2 of the two-part training series to become credentialed as a Recovery Support Peer Specialist in Texas.

Training dates include ALL the following dates and times:

December 9 - 13,12 PM - 5 PM

AND

December 16 - 20, 12 PM - 5 PM

Recovery Support Peer Specialist Training is the 46-hour curriculum for peer specialists seeking** specialization in supporting people with problematic substance use and recovery from substance use disorder. This training meets Texas Certification Board, Texas Health and Human Services Commission requirements, and grants reciprocity for working in several other states if certified. This training takes place in the virtual classroom. Learning covers the following domains:

Advocacy (Minimum of 10 education hours required)

Mentoring/Education (Minimum of 10 education hours required)

Recovery Support (Minimum of 10 education hours required)

Ethical Responsibility (Minimum of 16 education hours required)

The cost for the supplemental training is $400 plus the Eventbrite fee.
