About this Event
This session is only for London College of Fashion students. It is aligned to your Graduate Futures start-up and freelancer journey.
Whether you are an artist, content creator, writer, designer, researcher or innovator, this session will offer you insights into the different types of IP and how you can protect your work from misuse and ensure you get proper credit and compensation for your creations.
This is an interactive session so any questions or issues you maybe currently navigating, please bring them along to discuss.
Speakers
- , Media lawyer focussing on digital/creative industries - Partner at Sheridans: Andrew is a media lawyer with a specialism in the Creative industries and Digital Media. He has worked with LCF Graduate Futures for many years, advising Students, Founders and Freelancers. He is a Practitioner in Residence with Graduate Futures London College of Fashion. His clients include some of the world’s leading brands as well as up and coming design talent.
- , Paralegal at Sheridans: Before retraining in law, Jeii was a creative, marketing and brand specialist working across Fashion, Beauty and Creative Media for over 15 years. She headed up creative production then marketing strategy and operations at Burberry followed by running the internal creative team at Stella McCartney as part of their executive team. She later went on to establish her own creative consultancy studio before embarking on her legal qualification.

- Complete the Your creative rights: new Intellectual Property (IP) module
