About this Event
This session is only for London College of Fashion Postgraduate students. It is aligned to your Graduate Futures careers and employability journey.
This in-person workshop specifically designed for postgraduate students will provide you with the key skills and tools to create a strong CV and Cover Letter, develop a personal online presence and network to land your dream job.
Hosted by Graduate Futures Careers Consultant Melanie Mitchell, you will gain insights into key employability trends and learn what makes for a winning CV, Cover Letter and LinkedIn profile.
By the end of this interactive workshop, you will:
- Understand the key steps to crafting your CV for professional success.
- Gain insight into how to write a standout personal profile improving your story-telling skills to connect with your audience.
- Know how to create a strong Cover Letter that engages recruiters and hiring managers.
- Be able to tailor your professional documents for specific roles and opportunities.
- Discover how to build an All-Star LinkedIn profile and grow your network.
- Have a deeper understanding of LinkedIn and how you can leverage the platform for career success.

Speakers
- , Graduate Futures Careers Consultant: Leveraging over 20 years of experience as a Buyer, Headhunter and now Consultant, Melanie has worked with a number of brands including Christian Louboutin, Vivienne Westwood, AllSaints, Threads Styling and Sweaty Betty on projects relating to talent acquisition and executive search. Passionate about helping to build both brands and careers through putting the right people, in the right place at the right time she continues to use her industry expertise to coach and inspire the next generation looking to pursue careers in fashion.
