About this Event
Join Liberty City Arts on Saturday, February 7th at The Perch, Philly’s hub for community, culture, and accessible art, for Bright Eyed Joy: A Vocal Recital of Black Expression. Curated by artistic advisor Brandon Bell, this program insists on joy as an inheritance, a brightness that refuses to be dimmed. In claiming this title, the recital affirms that when Black voices sing freely, they offer not only truth but a radiant hope that lights the room from within.
The program is presented in three parts:
- 5:30-6:30PM — Specially curated Reception by local acclaimed Chef Martel Pack
- 6:45-8:30PM — Bright Eyed Joy Concert
- 8:30-10:00PM — Post show DANCE PARTY w/DJ Rhetlaw on the decks
The following Philly-based artists will bring the program to life:
- Teddy Balfour-Austin, tenor
- Jay Fluellen, pianist
- Malcolm Richardson, countertenor
- Chase Sanders, soprano
- Moses Possible, baritone
Tickets: $35
