The theme for Commonwealth Day 2024, and the forthcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, is ‘One Resilient Common Future: Transforming our Common Wealth’.
The theme highlights how the 56 member countries must harness their strengths by building resilience, unlocking potential, leveraging the 'Commonwealth Advantage' and fostering a connected, digital Commonwealth. This transformation is vital to ensure a resilient common future where no one is left behind.
The inaugural Liverpool Commonwealth Association Lecture will explore the significance of the modern Commonwealth and its ambition of building resilience, unlocking potential, leveraging the so-called ‘Commonwealth Advantage’, and fostering a connected, digital Commonwealth.
The lecture will be delivered by HE Dr Justina Mutale, globally acclaimed as one of the most influential and inspirational African women.
Also featuring, author, poet and, academic Dr Malik Al Nasir who delivered the final Roscoe lecture for Liverpool John Moores University's Bicentenary year 2023.
