About this Event
Shelter WA is delighted, in partnership with the HOME group of lived experience advocates, to launch the Hear of My Experience (HOME) Lived Experience Engagement Framework and Toolkit.
Centring the voice of people with lived experience at the heart of housing and homelessness policy is critical to achieving system reform.
Lived Experience Engagement Framework
The authors will provide an overview of the Framework which has been developed to support the housing and homelessness services sector to engage with people with lived experience to inform their policy and practice. The authors will walk through the principles underpinning engagement and the benefits of engagement for services and for people.
HEAR OF MY EXPERIENCE (HOME)
Lived Experience Co-Design Toolkit
This toolkit, developed through a co-design process with the HOME participants, a group of people with lived experience of housing insecurity and homelessness, showcases best practice approaches to lived experience engagement across organisational strategy, policy, projects, programs and services. The Toolkit is designed to support government and non-government housing and homelessness services, as well as people with lived experience, to understand the benefits of engaging and ways to engage.
