Lauhala Love Knot Coaster Workshop with Pūlama Long (Honi Hala)

Join us for a special hands-on lauhala weaving workshop with Pūlama Long of Honi Hala, where participants will learn how to create beautiful love knot coasters using traditional weaving techniques.

In this class, you will learn the foundational weaving method used to create the classic love knot pattern and complete two coasters to take home.

• Instruction from Pūlama Long of Honi Hala
• All materials and supplies
• Two love knot coasters (made by you!) to take home

Additional take-home kits will be available for purchase directly from the instructor.

• Cost: $10 per person (regular class fee $65)

This workshop is typically offered at $60 per person, but thanks to support from the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority’s Kūkulu Ola Program, Waikīkī Community Center is able to offer this class at a subsidized rate of $10.

This funding helps us make cultural workshops more accessible to our community while supporting local cultural practitioners.
