About this Event
We love medicine, and laughter is the best! (Well, at least one of the best.) Laughter Yoga, founded in India by Dr. Madan Kataria, a physician and yogi, uses the healing power of playfulness to break down emotional barriers and activate a therapeutic release. Throughout the session we’ll use a variety of intentional laughter exercises combined with light movement to spark inner joy. The session will end with a Laughter Meditation, followed by an opportunity for participants to share their experience and have a soothing beverage. No prior experience, or even a sense of humor, is required!
Laughter Yoga does not utilize traditional yoga poses, so a mat is not essential. We will be moving about the space. Some exercises will invite us to sit or lay on the floor, so if a mat makes you more comfortable, please bring one. Participants should wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water.
