Learn how to make small, colorful trinket boxes using only plastic canvas and string! We will cover a few simple hand sewing techniques and use scissors, plastic canvas, string, and tapestry needles. You will spend most of the class designing and building your own box. This workshop is about color, structure, sewing, and the pleasure of making something tangible. Whether plastic canvas feels nostalgic or brand new, come experiment!
About the Crafter
Andrea Fischer is a multidisciplinary artist based in Denver who uses recycled textiles and found materials to create immersive installations, community workshops, and upcycled fashion. Her playful, tactile work ranges from large-scale yarn sculptures in public spaces to participatory art classes that encourage beginners to explore craft in approachable ways. Andrea’s projects highlight sustainability, connection, and joy, inviting audiences to rethink waste and discover the soft side of contemporary art.

ShaNae Ross is a Denver-based stand-up comedian whose engaging charm, snazzy fashion sense, and honest storytelling connect quickly with audiences.
