Late Summer Celebration - QiYoga & Sound Bath

• A preparation of gentle yoga and Qi-Gong to celebrate the season of Late Summer. In Traditional Chinese Medicine this is the 5th season, the element of earth. It is the season that 'holds centre' as nature transitions from the heat of Summer into the cooling of Autumn; nature 'hangs in the balance'. This will be reflected in our movement practice by stabilising through legs, yielding and reaching through arms, and balancing. There will also be a focus on intention (yi) as this influences the movement and flow of energy (qi).
• All levels are welcome as this is a gentle but effective practice. It will allow the mind, body and energy flow to open in preparation for the sound bath to follow.
• The sound bath is the simplest form of meditation, just listening. Lying comfortably warm and cushioned the waves of sound will lull you into a state of ease. The mind then drifts gradually into deep meditation and the body relaxes. This allows the sound vibrations to resonate, loosen, energise, and balance. Everyone's needs and interactions will be different. Therefore each sound bath is a new experience.
