Lasers were first introduced to veterinary ophthalmology in 1961 to produce lesions in rabbit retinas. Since then they have evolved considerably. In this webinar the principles of laser treatment will be presented and some of the many indications for the use of lasers in ophthalmology – both human and veterinary – will be shown. Advantages, disadvantages and options to laser therapy will be discussed.
