Landscape University 2024 (VIRTUAL) This is a webinar series to help you brush up on your landscape management skills and earn CEUs.
About this Event
Overview

What are best practices for pruning trees and shrubs? What can go wrong with palms in Florida? How do we attract pollinators to the landscape? Can you compost everything found in the landscape? How do you control weeds in the cracks of sidewalks? This six-week webinar series will cover the answers to these questions and more! Continuing education units (CEUs) are also available for individuals that hold a pesticide applicator license.

The cost for attendance is $10 per class. You can register for just one or for multiple classes. You can also register to attend all 6 classes for a discounted rate of $35.

  • Jan 17, 2:00-3:00PM - To Prune or Not to Prune: Pruning Landscape Trees and Shrubs
  • Jan 24, 2:00-3:00PM – Agroecology in the Landscape
  • Jan 31, 2:00-3:00PM – Dead Palms Tell No Tales
  • Feb 7, 2:00-3:00PM – Composting for the Landscape
  • Feb 14, 2:00-3:00PM - The Buzz on Pollinators
  • Feb 21, 2:00-3:00PM – Controlling Weeds in Hardscapes
CEUs

If you hold an FDACS pesticide applicator license, you can attend these classes to receive CEUs. Each class is worth 1 CEU in any one of the following categories:

  • Commercial (PCO) Lawn and Ornamental
  • Limited Certification Commercial Landscape Management (LCLM)
  • Limited Certification Lawn and Ornamental (LLO)
  • Ornamental and Turf (OT)
  • Private Applicator Ag

This class will be held online via zoom. Please be prepared to arrive at least 15 minutes early to the class. The zoom link will be sent 1-2 days prior to the event. To receive CEU credit, you must attend the full duration of the class and participate. For CEU credit, each person needs to attend using their own electronic device. Attendance will be verified.
