Learn how to paint water reflections and bathers through Monet's eyes in oils. All materials provided.
About this Event

On Tuesday 26th November 7-9pm I am inviting you to come to my studio and have some fun painting Monet's 'Bathers at La Grenouillere'.
Using impressionistic and classical techniques we will learn to create water reflections and figures in the landscape using oil paint on synthetic paper.
I chose to recreate this Monet painting because I did it at school as part of a portfolio presentation for my exams. I remember seeing the painting in reproduction and it giving me butterflies. My first art butterflies and those butterflies remain to this day whenever I see those reflections in the water...
All materials are provided, so you don't need to go to the art shop and spend a fortune.

Tea, coffee, water, biscuits will be provided.

Richard Meaghan is a contemporary painter who has exhibited nationally and internationally. He has won prizes for his work and his paintings are in many public and private collections.

Richard is also classically trained in the techniques and processes of Old Master painters.
Richard runs S'cube Contemporary Art from his studio. This is a Thursday evening collective that do individual project based work, learn and exhibit together. We will be participating in Manchester Contemporary Art Fair 2024.
Richard runs workshops ranging from portrait/landscape sessions to mindfulness painting meditations as well as his monthy life class hub.
