Traversing the West Pennine Moors, this East Lancashire challenge, is a 32-mile route (50km), taking in Peel Tower on Holcombe Moor, Jubilee Tower on Darwen Moor and finally Rivington Pike in Chorley. We will head across moorland, drop down through woodland, pass through beautiful green valleys, and take in stunning views. The paths are varied from short quiet roads to boggy moorland - you'll get a real feel for true Lancashire countryside! With plenty undulation, the entire route has an elevation of approx. 4,775ft (1,455m).😁We are offering this as a fully guided walk. Instead of worrying about logistics and navigation, you will be free to enjoy spectacular views, great company, support vehicle with snacks, and ultimately gain an incredible sense of achievement!
💪This is a proper challenge with at least 12 hours on your feet to cover this long distance route!
1️⃣ We will begin the day from Hawkshaw, Bolton and head in an anti-clockwise direction. This is a circular route, finishing at the same location.
👌This fully guided event will be led by qualified, experienced, local Mountain Leaders, who will support you along the way.
As with all our guided walks, this event is designed to be friendly, relaxed and fun walking experience. You will, however, need a good base level of fitness, as this is a strenuous, hilly route on uneven footpaths and sometimes boggy terrain.
