Oby Bamidele
CEO, Uptree
Oby Bamidele is a mission-driven leader with over 15 years’ experience scaling purpose-led organisations across tech, education and social impact. Beginning her career in finance, she has since held senior operational and executive roles in both early-stage ventures and national charities, driving strategy, financial sustainability and inclusion.
As CEO of Uptree, Oby leads efforts to bridge the education-to-employment gap by helping employers create meaningful work experiences for young people. She also serves on the board of Connecting Stories CIC, supporting its mission to amplify underrepresented voices through storytelling and partnerships.
A qualified psychotherapist and founder of BARE Life Class, Oby is passionate about reshaping mental health narratives for Black women. She is also a published author and contributor to platforms such as Huffington Post.
Her work and talks centre on equity, inclusive leadership, mental well-being, and scaling socially responsible organisations.
