About this Event
This potluck at Barnsdall Park is a relaxed way to check out LA Conversación and meet other Latinos working on their Spanish.
LA Conversación is a club for Latinos who struggle with their Spanish — whether you understand more than you speak, feel rusty, or never had the chance to fully learn. Instead of formal lessons, we focus on practicing with each other in a supportive environment.
We usually meet Monday nights at Alcove in Los Feliz, and this picnic is a casual outdoor hangout — a chance to connect, meet new people, and get a feel for the community.
What to expect
- A casual picnic vibe — sit, snack, and talk in English, Spanish, and Spanglish
- Practice some Spanish at your own level (or just listen)
- Meet other Latinos with similar language experiences
- No pressure, no judgment
