“A Berlin-based, one-man punk band with synthesizers"
Drummer, bassist and vocalist in "classic" punk bands, Ben became increasingly interested in synthesizers, launching his solo project back in 2008. Ben’s musical inspiration comes from Minimal Wave and EBM-80s, as well as "old idols" such as punkbands á la Schleimkeim, Telekoma, Pennywise and GG Allin, whose pieces are as synthetic cover versions part of the program in addition to his own songs.

RETROGRATH (Stockholm, SWE)
Retrograth is an analogue wave artist described as "dark synth gothic" and bearing a likeness to artists such as early Human League and Nine Inch Nails. Melancholia and introspection meet post-punk driven by electronic beats.

NAAKKA (Tampere, FIN)
Naakka is a non-binary, anti-fascist EBM cabaret from Tampere. Naakka's sound borrows elements of the 80's Vancouver/Belgium EBM scene and throws dark Synthpop elements into their synthpunk whirlpool with a twist of self-irony. Political and argumentative lyrics and live-visuals play a central role in Naakka's mischievous entertainment package.
