Kyle Harvey will be playing original music Food Truck Fridays at Lowell School on Friday, January 23rd at 6pm!ABOUT KYLE HARVEY — Kyle Harvey is a singer-songwriter living in western Colorado. Having spent some time in the backseat of a van traveling town to town, his timeless lyrics and the heartfelt vulnerability of their delivery have earned him a reputation as a “songwriter's songwriter.”
During his tenure as a mainstay of the 2000’s Omaha music scene, Harvey was nominated for Best Songwriter by the Omaha Entertainment Awards and called “one of the city’s best troubadours” by Spin Magazine. More recently, the roots music publication Americana Highways called his new album, Anywhere But Here, "The most poignant bittersweet songs you can imagine."
Harvey’s work is haunted by artists like Neil Young, Guy Clark, Elliott Smith, Steve Earle, and Jackson Browne, yet remains distinctly his own. Rooted in the desert canyons and rivers, as well as the midwestern gravel roads that have shaped his life, his music offers the rare gift of stillness, inviting listeners to slow down and feel the spaces between the notes.
Harvey has been fortunate to share the stage with Gregory Alan Isakov, Bright Eyes, Frank Black (of The Pixies), Steve Poltz, Daniel Johnston, David Rawlings, The Mountain Goats, and many more.
