Join us on a TUMACNBAC (to Mack, Colorado and back) field trip to spot raptors! We're lucky to have exceptional carnivorous bird diversity here in the Grand Valley in the winter. TUMACNBAC is Grand Valley Audubon’s most popular field trip, conducted annually since 1987. Six trips are available this year, and they're filling up quickly. Trips will take place on the following dates:
#1: Saturday, January 24: Led by Brett Walker
#2: Sunday, January 25: Led by Nic Korte
#3: Wednesday, January 28: Led by John Higgins
#4: Friday, January 30: Led by Debbie Tubridy
#5: Saturday, January 31: Led by Mike Henwood
#6: Sunday, February 1: Led by Logan Wagner
We will meet at 9 a.m. at the parking area just south of 726 24 Rd, the little white building at the west entrance into Canyon View Park. We will return between 2-3 p.m.
Dress for the weather and bring drinks, snacks, or lunch. We will stop to eat at the Fruita Ace Co-op. If you need binoculars, please let your leader know before the day of the trip. If you have a spotting scope, bring it along!
Registration: GVAS Members $10 and $15 for non-members. Your support is much appreciated! Learn more and register at audubongv.org/events.
