Most people here will travel to Stonehenge and wait for the first rays of sunlight to shine through the stones…But in Slavic tradition, we celebrate the NIGHT.
We call it Noc Kupały.
“Noc” means night, and “Kupała” comes from ancient Slavic traditions connected to water, fire, fertility, love, abundance, purification and deep connection with nature and spirit.
It is one of the most magical nights of the year. A celebration of the shortest night, the fullness of life, feminine power, intuition, love and transformation.
✨ KUPALA NIGHT ✨
A sacred Summer Solstice gathering inspired by ancient Slavic traditions, feminine wisdom, ritual and connection to the elements.
This will be much more than just an event…
It will feel like a mini retreat.
🌙 WHAT TO EXPECT 🌙
We will begin the evening by opening the circle together, creating a safe, sacred and intentional space for the journey ahead.
From there, we will move into a heart-opening cacao ceremony to help us soften, connect deeply with ourselves and each other, and enter the night with presence and intention.
Cacao has been used ceremonially for centuries as a sacred plant medicine connected to the heart, emotional openness and spiritual connection.
After the cacao ceremony, we will explore the meaning of Noc Kupały. The history of the night, the ancient Slavic traditions and why water and fire were such important elements in these celebrations.
We will talk about:
✨ what this night symbolises
✨ why our ancestors celebrated it
✨ how we can reconnect to those energies in modern life
✨ and how the elements help us release, cleanse and transform
We will then move into a beautiful Summer Solstice yoga practice designed to awaken and move energy through the body, helping us open emotionally, energetically and spiritually.
As usual, we will then journey downstairs into deep rest and healing with:

🎶 Sound healing
After this, we will return upstairs and create our own flower crowns with intentions woven into them. Just as women did traditionally during Kupala Night.
You will also receive a specially chosen crystal connected to the energy of the ceremony, something to keep with you afterwards as a reminder of this experience and your intentions from the night.
Then, wearing our flower crowns, we will walk together to the sea.

💧 WATER CEREMONY 💧
In Slavic tradition, water on this night symbolises:
✨ cleansing
✨ emotional healing
✨ intuition
✨ rebirth
✨ letting go of the old self
The sea becomes a place of surrender, release and renewal.
We will connect with the water consciously and ceremonially, allowing ourselves to release what no longer belongs to us and welcome in new energy for the second half of the year.

During the fire ceremony, we will work with intention and release. Letting go of fears, limitations, old stories and stagnant energy, while calling in abundance, clarity, power and expansion.

Because five hours is a long journey, I want this to feel supportive, grounding and deeply held from beginning to end.
I aim to finish around 9pm, although we may flow naturally a little longer depending on the energy of the evening. This is the first time I am creating a night quite like this, so I truly want to allow space for the experience to unfold organically.
