Update from KofC Council 8488 Grand Knight Sean Sorell and Brother Knight Paul Oehm February 2, 2025. This includes an update of the KofC Council 8488 Royals Baseball Trip.
Fellow Brother Knights of Council 8488,
Following message is from Paul Oehm:
• Royal's Trip. We have had one additional response since Monday and their first choice was the Detroit game on May 31st. Unless we get more responses by Monday that change this, we will begin planning on that Detroit game for our trip. Please respond if you have not already done so. I need to start pulling together the list of those that plan to attend the game as well.
• Cornhole Tournament. We have one additional sponsor since Monday as Cat Cans will be a Food and Beverage sponsor. Thank you Matt! If you, your company or others you may know that would like to sponsor, please email me.
Fellow Knights, we had a very good lengthy presentation and ensuing discussion about Life Choice Ministries and the Knights of Columbus Statewide Ultrasound Initiative. All net proceeds from our event will go towards the KofC Ultrasound Initiative. We need your help in securing sponsors for the event.
Remember that this event is still for seeking new members to our Council as well since that is what it was originally created to do. We will have a lot of fun, fellowship, raise money for a great cause and also help to achieve our recruiting goals for the year!
Time to start identifying sponsors as soon as possible so we can work on signage prior to the event. We can have multiple sponsors at each level, including Title level. Goals for each level are noted along with sign recognitions at the event.
Sponsorship Levels:
Title - $1,000. Signs at Registration and recognition during the event. We have one! Thank you Sean!!
Food and Beverage (2) - $500. Signs at the food and beverage stations. Recognition during the event.
Boards & Bags (9) - $250. A small sign (like a low profile yard sign) between the boards on each of the 9 courts.
Other donors < $250. We will have a list of all sponsors on tables with these donors listed at bottom.
The tournament will start around 6PM after Saturday evening mass.
Champion's Plaque. There will be no prize money this year as all net proceeds will go towards the Knights of Columbus Ultrasound Initiative. We will create a winner's plaque of tournament winners that will be in the KofC display in church. Entry fee will remain $20 per team.
With these sponsorships, any "Free Will" donations at the event will go towards our cause. Start reaching out to those you think might sponsor this worthy cause. We need everyone to help recruit new members. This is a great conversation starter to invite them to participate and tell them about the cause we are seeking their support on.
