About this Event

Topic for Discussion: Know Your Rights

This interactive training, led by Know Your Rights facilitators from A Just Chi, a grassroots leadership program at Advancing Justice for Asians and Asian Americans, will focus on practical, life-saving information for individuals and families navigating immigration enforcement realities.

Training Objectives:

EDUCATE: Learn About Our Rights
Participants will learn about their constitutional rights when encountering immigration enforcement, including what to do if approached at home, at work, or in public.

PREPARE: Create Safety Plans
Attendees will receive a safety plan template and guided support to begin thinking through next steps for themselves and loved ones in the event of an ICE encounter.

REPORT: Document ICE Encounters Safely
Learn how to responsibly and safely report enforcement activity to protect yourself and support community defense efforts.

Q&A Session
Bring your questions for an open discussion grounded in care, clarity, and collective empowerment.

Together, we will build knowledge, preparedness, and solidarity—because knowing your rights is a powerful step toward protecting our communities.
