About this Event

Join Us at Knight School - Blood Cancer Then & Now: 25 Years of Innovation

Knight School is a series of talks to inform the community about the work at the Knight Cancer Institute advancing cancer prevention, detection, treatment, and survivorship. Come join us to learn more through stories told by Knight Cancer researchers, clinicians, and patients.

Featuring Dr. Brian Druker, CEO of the Knight Cancer Institute and developer of Gleevec, the first Medic*tion that specifically targets cancer cells; Rob Shick, who will share his experience as a leukemia patient; and Dr. Julia Maxson, Associate Professor of the Division of Oncological Sciences, and Hematology & Medical Oncology. Attendees will learn about advances in blood cancer research and treatment.

Please join us after the presentation for a reception with light refreshments.

Please use the entrance at the western end of the building, facing S. Moody Avenue. The KCRB is locked at all times, and staff will be onsite to assist with door access.
