KN/GHTS is the electrifying project of James Knights, renowned for his work with Scarlet Soho and as one half of the cult synth duo Boytronic. Combining heavy HI-NRG, raw electro, and a versatile vocal range, Knights crafts a sound that is dynamic, intense, and unforgettable.
"A potent mix of dark disco energy and fearless performance."
Inspired by underground culture and memorable hooks, KN/GHTS delivers music that is both menacingly charming and sonically decadent. Each track is designed to go under your skin, while every live show leaves audiences thrilled and electrified long after the lights go down.
James Knights is legendary for his frenetic, immersive live performances, where the line between performer and audience disappears. Fans have affectionately dubbed him the "Disco Rampensau", reflecting his chaotic charm, intensity, and stage energy.
KN/GHTS has built a cult following through support tours with:
Drab Majesty
Andy Bell of Erasure
Festival appearances and headline performances include:
Standon Calling
Infest UK
Patrick Miller Nightclub, Mexico City
In 2024, Knights closed Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, performing Dollars & Cents in full to celebrate its fifth anniversary - a moment that cemented KN/GHTS' reputation as a must-see live act.
+ Special Guest Ras Bolding
Ras Bolding is an artist from Denmark, whose music encompasses an eclectic range of stylistic expressions such as synth and wave, goth and postpunk but also occasionally incorporating elements of 8-bit computer game antics as well as hints of folk and classical composition.
His songs often centre around digital culture for better and worse, notably with the Digital Deviant album, but he has also put the darker fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen to music, staging repeated performances of the suite in his hometown of Odense where the famous writer also grew up. His concerts are visual affairs featuring laser and light show and he is surrounded on stage by synthesizers both analogue and digital, even playing classic eighties home computer Commodore 64 as keytar, and he is flanked by young co-musicians Alex Anarki on synthesizer and Kaos Korrosion on synthesizer and extra vocals.
