We are excited to announce a double live lineup for this evening of clubbing at Tyven. Two very exciting acts from Norway breaking grounds in the realm of live electronic music.NAOKO:
Naoko is a duo consisting of Erlend Elvesveen and Charite Viken. Through an eclectic tapestry from the outer fringes of popular music, they create electronica that is felt in the body – dark, ethereal soundscapes where vulnerability and violence flow into one another.
The single Currents was released on the boundary-pushing Oslo label Kropp Uten Grenser in September 2025, while the songs Torch the Sky and Ipecac were selected for the Mutants Mixtape alongside artists such as Arca, Holly Herndon, and Merzbow. They have also performed at festivals like Trondheim Calling, Pstereo, and Feminalen.
OAK AY:
Oak Ay is the electronica alias of Simen Helbæk Kjølberg – a project that weaves together organic textures, analogue synths, and dreamy soundscapes with a rhythmic, danceable energy.
After making an impression at Trondheim Calling 2020, Oak Ay has become an artist to watch on the Norwegian electronica scene. In the autumn of 2025, Oak Ay released the EP collection SMALLHAUL I and II on the renowned, electronica-focused Tromsø label Beatservice Records. The releases quickly garnered positive feedback, including support from the curatorial legends of “Late Night Tales”. An album release and several singles are expected in 2026.
Oak Ay is the only artist with an official remix for the band Kalandra – the remix version of The Waiting Game has now surpassed 200,000 streams on Spotify. Previous releases as a duo have attracted attention, including from NRK P3 Urørt. Hipass Femme from the EP Everything is Oak Ay (2021), as well as the music video for the single Heater, have left their mark and expanded Oak Ay’s visual and conceptual universe.
Drawing associations with artists such as Bonobo, Four Tet, Boards of Canada, or Röyksopp, Oak Ay offers electronic music that resonates far beyond the dance floor.
