About this Event
Klub Write: Let's Write About Sex (Baby!)
Dating and intimacy are topics that fascinate us, but how can we incorporate them into our writing in a way that feels authentic, accessible, ethical—and hot?
Join award-winning writers Cat Hepburn (BBC, Edinburgh Fringe) and Demi Anter (Glastonbury, Poetry Ireland) for a fun and open session of Klub Write at Another Country! Bookshop.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or a newbie, this event is perfect for anyone looking to spice up their writing, explore their own dating experiences on the page, and uncover how to convey intimacy without falling into a “bad romance.”
Join us to uncover how writers have tackled these topics across genres. Together, we’ll explore writing passionate encounters, desire, and everything in between in a fun and supportive environment.
In this workshop, expect topics such as:
- How to write about romance and intimacy with less cringe
- Conveying sensuality in poetry and nonfiction writing
- Structuring a sex scene in fiction work
- The challenges of writing about personal experiences in sex and dating
- Writing with all of the senses
*FLINTA ONLY, 18+
**Please note this is not an erotica writing workshop. Our goal is to delve into authenticity, not arousal.
