About this Event
Step into the vibrant heart of London and experience the transformative power of sound and mantra music. Join us for an evening of soulful connection as we share the ancient practices of Kirtan and meditation.
Rooted in an age-old spiritual tradition from India, Kirtan goes beyond music – it's a profound journey of spiritual connection through sound. Through melodious mantras sung in call and response, accompanied by drums and percussion, we co-create an uplifting symphony that resonates deep within.
Kirtan is the yoga of the heart, a devotional practice where we come together to chant sacred mantras and qualities of the highest vibrations. Led by a harmonium-playing leader and supported by percussionists, Kirtan builds in speed and energy, creating a meditative and ecstatic atmosphere.
No prior experience is necessary, and you don't need to consider yourself a singer. All that's required is an open mind and heart to immerse yourself in this uplifting practice. The mantras we chant have the power to evoke feelings of strength, courage, love, and joy, guiding us towards deeper self-understanding and connection.
Before our Kirtan session, we gather for an OM chanting group practice. OM, the primordial sound of creation, resonates within all things and symbolizes the ultimate reality. This ancient practice of OM chanting awakens the divine essence within us, fostering self-healing and nurturing well-being on all levels.
Whether you seek inner peace, spiritual connection, or simply a sense of belonging, we invite you to join us for this beautiful evening. Let the power of sound and mantra guide you on your journey of self-discovery and transformation.
In our band, every musician is on a quest for true love. Together, we harmonize to celebrate the divine and eternal love that binds us all. With a wealth of experience performing at various festivals, we've mastered the art of creating a love-infused vibration that beckons audiences to delve into their hearts.
Our band leader, Paul, spent a transformative year living in India, where he learned the traditional Kirtan techniques from esteemed Indian Bhajan musicians. He's recorded several soul-stirring songs available on YouTube Music and Spotify, reflecting his deep connection to the practice.
In Kirtan, the collective voice of everyone merges, fostering a profound sense of shared devotion and unity. Our music knows no boundaries; it unites people from all walks of life in the spirit of love and oneness. Come join us as we embark on a journey into the depths of sound and uncover the limitless love that resides within each of us.
