In this hands-on class, we are inviting junior chefs (ages 6 to 12) and their guardians (18+) to our classroom to learn how to make pasta.
About this Event

At La Scuola, our mission is to spread knowledge of Italian cooking and cuisine to fellow Eatalians, both young and old. We believe that good food brings people together in every way, so for this special class, we are inviting junior chefs (children ages 6 to 12) and their guardians (18+) to our classroom. This is a perfect opportunity to spend some quality time together and learn valuable techniques that you can practice in your own kitchen, too!

Join us as the Chef of La Scuola showcases the true art of fresh pastamaking, demonstrating how to make and shape some of Eataly's favorite fresh pastas. Guests will get to try their hand at rolling out the dough and forming their own shapes, like Cavatelli, Fusilli, Orechiette, and Trofie. In this hands-on class, guests will make their own dough, experience a fresh pastamaking and cooking demonstration by our Chef of La Scuola, receive a beverage pairing (wine and prosecco available for adults 21+) with the demonstrated pasta dish, and shape their own pasta.

In this class, guardians and children will:

  • Learn how to work with quality, seasonal ingredients in your own home, together.
  • Prepare various pasta shapes to take home.
  • Watch a cooking demonstration by the La Scuola Chef and enjoy the pasta dish they prepare, as well as additional snacks from our marketplace.
  • Take home adapted recipes.

Please note that the ticket price includes entrance for 1 guardian and 1 child and a pasta dish for each guest.

Additional Information:
• Class includes a hands-on activity and cooking demonstration with a chef instructor.
• Seating is guaranteed but is first-come, first-served. Check-in starts 10 minutes before the start of class.
• Class duration is approximate and may vary by 10-15 minutes. Menu is subject to slight change.
• All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce valid government-issued identification to prove they are 21 or older.
• Pricing is inclusive of service and exclusive of Chicago sales tax.
