About this Event
In 1965, at the request of Al Raby and the Chicago Freedom Campaign, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. moved to Chicago to protest housing discrimination. He lived in an apartment in the North Lawndale neighborhood.
Come explore that rich history with Emmy award winning historian, Dilla. We will explore Dr. King's footsteps through the west side of Chicago, as well as visit some of the history that makes North Lawndale great.
This tour is a 2 hour bus tour. We will depart the bus for photos and to potentially support a small neighborhood business.
Important : The pick up is just outside the Douglass Park Field House. The building is just south of Collins high school.
