4 Week Block: Mondays at 1pm starting 9/8Open to all ages with an option to pre-register for the seasons entire block with a discounted rate OR drop in to the weekly class. Recommended that the child can read/write to join.
Kids will learn hands-on for one hour about 1-3 herbs per class including constituents, therapeutic actions, contraindications (will all be kid-friendly verbiage), historical use, energetic properties- as well as one form of medicine making per class (and will work hands-on with this eg: tincture making, decoction making, salves, infusions, capsules, etc).
The class will be super kid friendly with fun music, worksheets, activities, challenges, and potentially prizes. I am more of a hands-on teacher so if you expect me to have your kid glued to a chair for an hour taking notes- this isn’t the class for you! 🤪
Also- this will NOT be a drop-off class, you must stay the entire class whether you are in the studio with us or just hanging out in the store (there’s a lounge, coffee, tea, books, and plenty of cool stuff to shop from).
The class will conclude with a certificate of completion for science records.
Cost will be $70 per child for the 4 weeks OR $25 for a drop in class (if we don’t hit a limit).
I will start a pre-registration in August with a 13 kid limit & a 7 kid minimum to run the class.
Again- this will be HANDS ON with actual plants and making cool herbal medicines to take home so please keep your kiddos allergies and sensitivities in mind when the curriculum is finalized.
