Ruth and Rita have been laughing and playing music together as 2/3 of the band Too Much Rouge for over 30 years. Their performances are a mix of easy banter, great stage presence, and a repertoire of songs that take you on an emotional roller coaster and send you home with a full heart.
Ruth Hill is an award-winning songwriter, singer, guitarist, banjoist and storyteller. She crafts honest songs with powerful imagery and beautiful melodies. Her songs are inspired by her deep New England roots, large working-class family and a wandering spirit that has taken her from Antarctica to Alaska.
Rita Gluck is a pianist, bassist and composer. She is the co-author of the official Vermont State Song and is known in some circles as the musical mail carrier of Montpelier.
