Jake Hillygus is displaying some of the best pics he has captured from his birding trips across 5 continents and and he will be playing for us some of his favorite pieces including George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, Frédéric Chopin's "Aeolian Harp" Etude and Billy Joel's New York State of Mind among others.
Featured, too, at the piano recital are guest performers Noa Sherwood from UNC Chapel Hill, as well as Jake Brennan and Kinley Myers from Riverside High School.
There will be a reception from 5:30 pm in the Semans Gallery of the Durham Arts Council where Jake Hillygus' photographs will be showcased, and seating for the recital in the PSI Theater will begin at 6:30 pm.
