To get you all inspired, the takeover kicks off with award-winning creative and experienced marketing professional Jay Davidson for a keynote on understanding your own power.Jay Davidson began her career in the music industry at Kiss Radio, global hip hop label Def Jam and later, indie hip hop label Rawkus. Her BBC career began as Launch Manager and later, Brand Manager for Radio 1Xtra. From there, she moved to TV marketing, leading the delivery of some of the most high-profile marketing campaigns across the BBC portfolio including Attenborough’s Africa for the Natural History Unit, Tracey Beaker for CBBC, and many others including Have I Got News for You, The Apprentice, Gavin and Stacey, Top Gear, The Catherine Tate Show, Mock the Week and Doctor Who.
Jay worked for both BBC Two and BBC Four within the channel management teams responsible for planning, scheduling and commissioning across all genres.
Recent credits include Exec Producer for Hip Hop World News for BBC Four, and Black is the New Black for BBC Two, launching BBC Four in social media and social media content.
