#1 SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL JUST ANNOUNCED! - Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association
30th Annual Key West Songwriter's Festival
April 29th - May 3rd, 2026
The Key West Songwriters Festival is turning 30 and we're kicking off the celebration on April 29th!
This milestone year brings more than 200 incredible songwriters to the island for five days of storytelling and unforgettable live music. The festival will once again take over Key West with a mix of free shows and ticketed events at intimate venues like the Key West Theater. Standout songwriters include Ashley Cooke, HARDY, Brian Kelley, Chuck Mead, Rissi Palmer, Bruce Robison, and Robert Randolph.
Plus, BMI songwriters who have played a big role in shaping the festival over the years will be back this year, including Bob DiPiero (1997) and Jeffrey Steele (1998). They’ll be joined by longtime crowd favorites Chuck Cannon (2000) and Tia Sillers (2000) along with Wendell Mobley (2004) and James Slater, who continues his impressive run of consecutive performances dating back to 2004. The festival’s long history carries on with the return of Tim Nichols and Craig Wiseman (2005), as well as Danny Myrick (2007) and Bobby Pinson (2007). Since their 2008 debuts, Doug Johnson, Robert Earl Keen, and Bridgette Tatum have built a loyal following across the island. The lineup is rounded out by mainstays such as Rebecca Lynn Howard (2010), Phil Barton, Lori McKenna, and Liz Rose, all of whom have been part of the festival since 2011. Returning after their 2013 debut are Ryan Beaver and Tyler Reeve, along with Jack Ingram and Lee Thomas Miller, who first joined the festival in 2015. Taylor Phillips, Aaron Raitiere, and Trent Tomlinson return after making their mark in 2017, as well as Ronnie Bowman, who will perform for the ninth year in a row.
For 30 years, Key West Songwriters Festival has been a place where fans discover artists before they become household names. Alumni include Chris Stapleton (2005), Randy Houser (2005), Jamey Johnson (2005), Thomas Rhett (2011), Kacey Musgraves (2011), Dustin Lynch (2011), Gary Clark Jr. (2013), Drew Baldridge (2013), Kane Brown (2016), Luke Combs (2016), HARDY (2016), Walker Hayes (2016), Maggie Rose (2016), Morgan Wallen (2018), Ashley McBryde (2018), ERNEST (2019), Riley Green (2022), Carter Faith (2022), and Ella Langley (2023)—proof that you never know who you’ll see before they blow up!
