Meet the Host
Host: Kate Pinchuck
Info: Kate Pinchuck is an award-winning South African comedian, actor, and writer.
She has won multiple Standard Bank Ovation Awards for her comedy and theatre performances at the National Arts Festival in Makhanda, Africa’s largest arts festival.
Her stand-up has been featured on Comedy Central Africa, SABC, M-Net, and South Africa’s premiere streaming service, Showmax.
Kate was a subject of the documentary series Behind the Funny, which highlighted 10 of South Africa’s top comedians.
As an actor, Kate is best known for her SAFTA-nominated role as Taryn in cult TV show Tali’s Baby Diary and her starring role in 2025 Showmax Original rom-com, Soos Pynappel Op Pizza, across from fellow comedian Schalk Bezuidenhout.

He’s forged his comedic voice on both the London and Cape Town circuits and has recently supported top South African comedians touring the UK.
