About this Event

Ensuring the voices of care experienced children and young people are heard in schools

Join our online practice-sharing sessions to listen, share and network with other Pupil Support Staff focusing on care-experienced children and young people. We’re covering a range of topics that Pupil Support Staff and care-experienced children and young people themselves have told us are important. You’ll hear examples of good practice in the area you’ve chosen to come along to and have the opportunity to discuss in a small group. Sessions take place either on in-service days or evenings straight after school.

This session takes place on an in-service day for West Dunbartonshire, South Lanarkshire and Moray Councils.

This session will include a short presentation by a Pupil Support worker and/or other practitioners who focuses on supporting care-experienced children and young people in schools. The majority of this session will consist of discussion between delegates. The discussion will be facilitated by members of the Policy, Projects and Participation Team at Children in Scotland.

This could include roles such as: support for learning worker, pupil support assistant, classroom assistant, ASN assistant, home-school link worker, behaviour support staff and others.
