About this Event
We're thrilled to be bringing illustrator to our London illustrator meet-up. He'll be opening up about his life-changing journey through keeping sketchbooks and passing on his tips on how to maximise daily drawing through practical exercises and top tips from his world.
Mike Lowery is a New-York-Times bestselling Illustrator who has worked on dozens of books for children and adults. He’s also the author of many books including Random Illustrated Facts and The Everything Awesome series from Scholastic books. He lives in Atlanta, GA and is married to illustrator Katrin Wiehle.
In addition to books, Mike has worked on many illustration projects such as food trucks, greeting cards, tons of magazines, and other fun stuff.
Spaces are very limited, so please book early.
What to Bring:
Please bring a recent and/or current sketchbook along with your favourite drawing materials, so you can join in with some interactive activities.
About Blend
Blend is the London AOI Meet Up, hosted by illustrator Wendy Warren. Illustration can often be a solitary pursuit, but it doesn't have to be. AOI Meet-ups are informal gatherings organised by illustrators who are passionate about drawing, sketching, and building a creative community right here in London.
Similar groups meet across the UK, offering a friendly space for illustrators to connect, share ideas, and find inspiration together.
