Katzenmusik is a humorously twisted tale about the quirky residents of Burnside facing an unusual crisis: a cat massacre!
The story unfolds through a viral video, prank calls, and a cat memorial, capturing the town’s bizarre reactions. As the income gap between the rich and poor widens, tensions rise, pushing everyone to their breaking point. The absurdity of their situation becomes both hilarious and tragic, showcasing how people cope with chaos.
Told in reverse, the narrative adds a unique twist, highlighting the ridiculousness of their circumstances while reflecting on deeper issues of social inequality and community resilience.
By arrangement with Nick Hern Books.
On Saturday 30 November, 7.30pm there will be a BSL interpreted performance by THEATRESIGN.
